BioDot's SM5000 Sheet Slitting Module is a robust, automatic slitting system used to cut sheet material into smaller widths. Cut width, cut speed and number of cuts are easily programmed through BioDot's handheld terminal. Programs may be saved for future reference. The SM5000 is equipped with a set of variable guides for the accurate in-feed of the sheet material. A position sensor senses the sheet edge for correct cut positioning and precise slitting.
The unit is equipped with an anti-static blower, which reduces static charge build-up. The air-flow for the unit also assists in moving cut material down the exit chute.
The SM5000 is ideal for cutting membranes, glass fiber, and thin absorbent pads (dependent on material properties - consult factory).
