BioDot, one of the world's foremost providers of low volume dispensing equipment and Kinematic Automation, the high production automation systems experts, announced a new strategic co-marketing agreement. The agreement will combine BioDot’s expertise in dispensing equipment for point of care devices with Kinematic’s market leading high production automation expertise to deliver solutions for today’s global device manufacturing world. This collaboration provides customers with a full complement of combined products, expertise and technology from the industry leaders in manufacturing for diagnostics. Today we are seeing an increase in demand for healthcare and thus diagnostic tests. That increase, coupled with test device innovations and miniaturization, means that more specialization is needed from diagnostic manufacturing equipment suppliers. Combining the skills and products from BioDot and Kinematic is a natural way to accomplish that. BioDot and Kinematic are working together to establish a global offering to the market.
Tom Tisone, CEO, BioDot commented “As we enter a new era of miniaturization and multiplexing in diagnostic devices combined with the need of high throughput manufacturing, companies must co-innovate to solve tough problems for their customers. This is why we are working with Kinematic, a market leader in high throughput manufacturing. This new offer represents our belief that the future requires the experts to create a new operating model, where collaboration becomes a necessity of doing business.”
“This collaboration is long overdue and will provide customers with a real and comprehensive source for complete solutions to their automation needs. By combining Kinematic’s expertise in manufacturing to improve product quality and increase manufacturing throughput with BioDot’s portfolio of reagent dispensing systems, we can develop and define exciting new opportunities for device manufacturers.” said Ted Meigs, Co-Founder, Kinematic Automation.
