IRVINE, Calif. – (February, 2021) – BioDot, the global leader in ultra-low volume, non-contact quantitative fluid dispensing systems, has appointed Debbie Bowers as senior vice president of commercial development. In this role, Bowers will oversee all sales, services and marketing for customer-facing commercialization initiatives.

As a leader in the reagent dispensing industry, BioDot has been playing a critical role in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic due to the dramatic increase in the need for expanded diagnostics capacity,” said Bowers. “This growing market will require innovative commercial solutions to meet the growing demand for diagnostic capabilities that has been accelerated by the pandemic.”

Bowers joins BioDot with more than 25 years of experience supporting global life science customers through automation consultation, applications development and first-in-class service. She most recently served as president and chief operating officer of BioSoft Integrators, offering Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) to life science, clinical and manufacturing operation laboratories. Bowers has in-depth knowledge of all areas of liquid handling automation, detection, automated sample storage and retrieval systems, as well as the consumables and modules required to automate complete workflows for life science applications. Early engineering, project management and technical sales roles have also provided Bowers with expertise in micro and macro filtration.

We’re thrilled to welcome Debbie to the team, particularly as greater awareness of public health issues, growing adoption of telehealth and changing consumer expectations for at-home diagnostic capabilities continue to drive innovation and increased production in the diagnostic industry,” said Tony Lemmo, CEO of BioDot. “Debbie will play a critical role in supporting our customers as they develop and commercialize tests in response to this shift in the industry.”
